Semax vs Selank: sequence, model, and evidence differences
Semax and Selank are separate synthetic peptides with different parent sequences and research histories. Marketing categories such as ‘nootropic’ or ‘anxiolytic’ are not substitutes for study-level evidence.
Short answer
Semax is an ACTH(4–7)-derived analogue extended with Pro-Gly-Pro, while Selank is a tuftsin-derived heptapeptide. Both have been investigated in neural and stress-related models, but the selected evidence is largely preclinical and should not be merged into one generalized claim.

How to interpret the comparison
A change in a transcript, neurotrophin measurement, or rodent behavior is a model-specific endpoint. It cannot be converted directly into a claim about cognition, mood, or clinical effectiveness.
The two peptides should be indexed and evaluated separately; evidence for one cannot fill gaps in the other's literature.
